Congratulation to our very own Megan Lynne Young for winning this year's title Miss World. This is the first time the Philippines won the title. In the question and answer portion where the candidates were given 30 seconds to tell the judges why they deserve the crown, Why should you be Miss World? Miss Philippines: I treasure a core value of humanity and that guides people why they act the way they do. I will use this to show other people how they can understand each other. ... as one, we can help society.

For the Beauty with a Purpose Challenge, Megan chose to help the victims of calamity.
